There are very few constants in this world, and one of them is that Chippy Nonstop will bring the muthafuckin party. Seriously. She could be super tired, or even borderline handicapped because she was bit by a racist spider who hates fun, and have part of her leg cut out and and be on antibiotics; no matter the case, have confidence that wherever Chippy is, under whatever conditions, she’s bringin’ the muthafuckin party.

That’s exactly what she did when I met up with her and her partner-in-partycrimes/producer DJ TWO STACKS a couple moons ago. While Chippy was a Brooklynite this past summer, I brought her and 2Stacks to my neighborhood park to run up on some unassuming children and Bogart their jungle-gym for an hour. Chippy and 2Stacks were also kind enough to teach me “The Money Dance,” a soon-to-be-unavoidable craze sparked by recent WSHH sensation Lil Mouse. “The Money Dance” is also one of five undeniable bangers off Chippy’s newest mixtape, MONEYDANCE101, which you can download here: http://chippynonstop.bandcamp.com
In addition to learning The Money Dance and how to “Jumpshot The Money” (also on the mixtape), we touched on the fact that Chippy did, in fact, get it from her mama (or at least some of it): Mrs. Nonstop is currently a Bollywood dance and yoga instructor. Chippy even showed me a couple dope Bharatanatyam moves, which made me flashback to my favorite Bollywood movie, Lagaan, and subsequently make a huge ass out of myself.
(ATTN: Persons with sensitive vision: might want to grab the nearest pair of sunglassses for this one. I forgot how light reflects off my terminally pale person-suit, and decided to whip out my testy crop-top that day. You’ve been warned.)

Very special shout out to Maya Tanaka (aka Tanaka-san), who graciously filmed and edited this gem of an interview, and who is the best bottom bitch a girl can ask for. She and our friend Barrie Potter recently made a short film called Hopeless Romantic, peep the trailer: http://vimeo.com/47060609
