Here is a short list of things making me eyeball bleeding, forehead sweating, short of breath angry this week: the companies that keep thinking it’s cool to pay me partially in garbage I do not by any stretch of the imagination want, the guy at Jimmy John’s who forgot my avocado spread even though I paid for it and REALLY wanted it, and this article about the rape of former Runaway Jackie Fox by piece of human garbage Kim Fowley. There are more, but I try not to focus on the negative because chill vibes, bro. Instead, I put on some music that helps me work out my face twitching and rage issues. A reliable selection for this purpose is always White Lung, Canada’s gift to enraged, avocado denied people around the world. An hour of rage-singing along to front woman Mish Way’s snarling lyrics (“The dumb won’t make a sound/When you are dead/Ugly dies face down” is a nice sampling) and I’m back to feeling all namaste about life (I still hope Kim Fowley rots in hell though).
Here’s an interview with Way, where my only regret is that you can’t hear her answers, which would undoubtedly be at a volume considerably higher than what most of us deem “inside voice.”
