On nothing, just three of the coolest people I know showing new work at one of the coolest new gallery spaces in Los Angeles. (Okay, I don’t actually know Tasya IRL, but she’s the babe to end all babes and takes the most gorgeous photos of the most gorgeous women). Anyhow, as you know, Rick Rodney is our photo editor/emperor, and he’ll be exhibiting a new body of rugged black and white photography, alongside never before seen illustrations by Tasya Van Ree and Steven Arroyo (the restaurateur responsible for such delectable LA eateries as Escuela and Cobras & Matadors).

LA lady Tasya Van Ree wears many hats. And I’m not just talking about her signature shaded look. In addition to being masterful with a camera, she also creates amazing illustrations, as does Steven Arroyo, whom you probably didn’t even know was an artist, although his impeccably decorated and curated retail and dining establishments certainly reveal the presence of an artistic sensibility.

Saturday night’s event will mark the official opening of Glass Onion, Steven Arroyo’s sprawling gallery space/photo studio on the cusp of DTLA. If you need further incentive to attend this artsy soiree, Garcia will be setting the party mood with the tunes, and Moon Juice will be providing complimentary Ginger Lemon Drops, so you can feel less guilty about getting drunk. Because DETOX TO RETOX, that’s the LA way. See y’all Saturday.
