Clouded Nine is our new interview series in which we ask people the same seven questions and two different ones every time. There is no particular reason for this structure except that we’re just THAT CRAZY.
I have a girl crush on Iggy Azalea. Not the kind of girl crush where you want to link arms with the person while strolling through the mall gabbing about boys over ice cream, but the kind where I would like to track her movements for seven days to see what she eats, where she shops, what her work-out routine is, what she watches on television, and so on so that I can actually one day BECOME her, but in a totally casual non-psycho way. You know what I mean? (Just kidding?)
The Australian bombshell kinda took the Internet by storm with her self-released video for her track “Pu$$y”, a raunchy, catchy song that showcases Iggy’s insane rap skills (think Foxy Brown down under). She is definitely not your average white rapstress: overtly sexual, smoking hot, and super talented, Iggy is poised to make a serious mark on music, especially in light of her recent signing to T.I’s label Grand Hustle.
We got to chat with the Amazonian Azalea while she was getting Ab-Fabbed on the set of her latest music video (for her song “Murda Bizness” ft. T.I, directed by Alex2Tone). Rachey took photos while I tried not to be creepy. Here’s our Clouded Nine with Iggy:
SAME SEVEN:
1. What is your life motto?
Trust your struggle.
2. Who is your muse?
The nanny called Fran. Fran Drescher. It makes so much sense right?
3. What is your idea of abject misery?
I think the most miserable thing would be being banned from doing what your passion is.
4. What is your idea of total happiness?
Being loved by someone that you love.
5. What is the best quality in a man?
Loyalty.
6. What is the best quality in a woman?
Humor.
7. Draw a picture of yourself:
NEW TWO:
What was the first song you listened to when you woke up today?
We listened to Young Jeezy The Best Trapper in the car on the way over here. That was the first song I heard this morning.
What was the last song you heard before you went to sleep last night?
Ummm…what was the last song? I think I listened to Mike Posner’s mixtape before I went to sleep. But I don’t remember what song.
Be sure to follow Iggy on Twitter.
